At heart, I find it hard to choose a favourite part of filmmaking — whether it’s directing a subject, framing a shot, or piecing it all together in post, each part excites me in a different way. I’m endlessly curious, always chasing something new in films, music, and books, with Martin Scorsese, Arundhati Roy, and The Strokes sitting high on my list of inspirations. If I’m not working, my favourite place to be is on a beach, eating seafood and pretending I can surf — usually while falling off far more than I’d like to admit.
